As a Neighbor, We Invite You To Explore the East Petersburg Amphitheater Project

East Petersburg Mennonite Church is not only a faith community in East Petersburg, but we also desire to be a neighbor in the surrounding neighborhoods of the Borough of East Petersburg. We love this place God has put us.

As a neighbor, we have enjoyed finding ways to be intentionally involved and invested in the life of our neighborhood and Borough. We continue to look for ways to live and love like Jesus in the midst of our neighborhoods.

One of the ways we have been involved and invested in the life of our neighborhood, is through supporting the East Petersburg Events Committee.  The East Petersburg Events Committee is a non-profit in the Borough of East Petersburg that hosts family friendly events in our East Petersburg Community Park.

There are lots of exciting events happening in the East Petersburg Community Park.  There is everything from car shows, to music in the park concerts, to movie in the park, music festivals, carnivals, community yard sales and more.

Jeff McLain, our Lead Pastor, volunteers with the East Petersburg Events Committee and many members of our faith community attend these events, are present at them in supporting roles and even volunteer their efforts.

This is just some of the ways we have found it possible to be invested and involved in our town as a neighbor. In all honesty, we just want to be good at the things Jesus said was most important – to love God and love our neighbor.

In addition to hosting these quality events, the East Petersburg Events Committee is now fundraising to build an Amphitheater in our community park. They believe this Amphitheater will help bring life to our events and the culture of our town.

As a neighbor, we encourage you neighbor with us and to learn more about the  East Petersburg Events Committee and how you can get involved with the Amphitheater project at www.eastpetersburgday.com.
