EPMC November 29, 2020 Plans for In-Person Gatherings

EPMC November 29, 2020 Plans for In-Person Gatherings

Thank you for your continued diligence and patience as we work together to find safe ways to meet in person for our worship gatherings. We know that there are many different perspectives and realities in the midst of this pandemic. As a BRIDGE Team, we have spent many hours talking through the many perspectives and have made decisions for our gatherings after much discernment and prayer. There is no perfect plan, but we ask for your grace and your respect of these guidelines. We pray that the love of God will be our guide as we keep finding our way forward.

Face Coverings are required to be worn by every person two years and older for any indoor gathering held within our church building. There are exceptions for a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that makes it unreasonable for a person to maintain a face covering. Face Coverings are available at our main entrance.

 9am-10am in the Fellowship Hall

Small Group Conversations are planned for the following Sundays to give time for questions about the Bridging Governance Plan and to give space for each class to talk with Bridge Team and Board leaders. We will meet socially distanced in the Fellowship Hall from 9am-10am. If you are not able to meet on the day your class is scheduled or if you have not been part of a Sunday School class, please feel free to join any Sunday. There will be no joint Sunday School class on the following dates.

November 29th – Praying Ambassadors

December 6th – Fellowship Family and Senior Class

December 13th – Faithful Followers

December 20th – Living Room

If you are unable to meet in person, please contact Katrina Shenk (jkshenk@verizon.net) to get a link to an online Zoom meeting that will take place on Sunday, December 6th from 5-6pm.

Sunday Morning Worship Gathering, 10:10am

  • We will continue to use a donation box, rather than passing an offering plate.
  • We ask that you sit distanced from non-family members in the sanctuary.
  • For those who choose or are unable to attend in-person, our Worship Gatherings are being live-streamed on the East Petersburg Mennonite Church Facebook page. Audio of our messages will also be available on our church website on Mondays.

Most importantly:

  • If you are showing possible COVID-19 symptoms or have been around someone who is showing symptoms, we ask that you do not join us for in-person gatherings.
  • If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive or is being tested for COVID-19, we ask that you make the hard decision to stay home.
  • We ask that you follow the rules of quarantine for travel recommended by our state government.
