Join us for our Easter Sunday Worship Gathering.

This upcoming Sunday, April 1st, is Easter Sunday. We want to invite you to join us for our Easter Sunday worship gathering. Together we will worship God, celebrate together in community, and be equipped for God’s mission in the world.

This past Sunday, March 25, was Palm Sunday. On Palm Sunday, we looked at the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. It is a story in which the crowd triumphantly desired Jesus to be their earthly King. However, behind Matthew’s narrative of this story, it is one that declares that Jesus is our salvation.

However, that crowd that wanted Jesus as their earthly king, will quickly change to be the crowd that yells to condemn and crucify him. Winning popular thought, the crowd will exchange a peaceful rabbi for the freedom of a violent criminal, and then they will sentence Jesus himself to a violent death on the cross as a criminal. However, just as Jesus overcame the temptations in the desert, he will overcome even death itself.

This upcoming Sunday we celebrate Easter. Easter is the day in which we celebrate that Jesus overcame the hold of death. As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus this Sunday, we will see how Jesus promises he will be with his followers throughout this life and the next. We invite you to join us, to worship with us, and to celebrate Jesus.
